VisitVisiting investor e-visa
For bank and partner meetings while the company is still being formed, with no Saudi sponsor needed.

Documents and people · Residency
Your Saudi company can bring you in as investor or general manager, issue your Iqama and then sponsor your family. The order of steps matters more than the paperwork: a visa filed before the CR names you, or before Qiwa is active, just bounces. We line the steps up so each one finds the one before it done.
Written by the formation desk at Saudia Company Formation, Lahore. Residency steps taken from the passports, labour and family services in MISA’s Investor Guide (13th edition, 2026), and Premium Residency tracks from the Premium Residency Center. Checked on 15 October 2026.
The routes
A business owner gets Saudi residency in one of two ways: their own Saudi company sponsors them as investor or general manager and issues an Iqama, or they qualify for Premium Residency, a government programme that isn’t tied to an employer. Most owners take the first route, because the company they are forming can sponsor them.
Before either, a visiting investor e-visa lets you fly in to meet ministries and possible partners while you decide.

Side by side
A business owner can be in Saudi Arabia on a visiting investor e-visa, on an Iqama sponsored by their own Saudi company, or under Premium Residency. The e-visa fits the exploring stage; the other two are for living there, with or without a company behind you.

| Question | Visiting investor e-visa | Company Iqama | Premium Residency |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is for | Meetings and exploring investment | Living and working for your company | Living in Saudi Arabia without an employer sponsor |
| Tied to a company | No | Yes, your Saudi company | No |
| Work allowed | No | Yes, in the registered role | Under the programme’s terms |
| Family | Separate visas | Sponsored as dependants | Under the programme’s terms |
| What you commit to | One visa application | Company records kept current, plus Iqama renewals | A programme fee, or an investment for the investor track |
For most owners, the company Iqama is the practical choice. Premium Residency makes sense if you want residency that survives selling or closing a particular company.
Order matters
A general manager’s Iqama takes ten steps in a fixed order, starting with a CR that names you, built from the requirements MISA lists for its investor residency services. Each step needs the one before it complete.
MISA’s residency service asks for a Commercial Registration showing the general manager’s name.
A valid investment registration with its annual update done, which now requires the foreign shareholder’s home CR to still be valid.
The labour file opened with the Ministry of Human Resources on Qiwa, and an account manager registered against the unified number.
Issued for the general manager, CEO or chairman role.
You enter Saudi Arabia on the work visa.
The medical report is sent electronically to the passports directorate.
An electronic insurance certificate is required.
Issued for the senior role through MISA’s service, which needs the border number you receive on entry.
The residence permit is issued through Muqeem (for senior professions) or Absher (for investors), and fingerprints recorded.
Family visas, then exit and re-entry visas as you need them.
If any record above doesn’t match the others, such as a different spelling of your name on the CR and passport, the step that checks it stops. That is the most common delay we fix.
Our part
Investor residency in Saudi Arabia depends on the company’s own records at MISA, the Ministry of Commerce and Qiwa being current, and then on the passports directorate and a health insurer. We coordinate the two so neither waits on the other.
VisitFor bank and partner meetings while the company is still being formed, with no Saudi sponsor needed.
RecordsCR naming the general manager, MISA current, Qiwa active, so the visa isn’t refused on a technicality.

FamilyExit and re-entry visas when you travel, visas for your spouse and children, and each renewal date on our calendar.

Paperwork
An investor or general manager Iqama needs four company records, led by a valid CR naming the general manager, and five personal papers, from your passport to authenticated family certificates. We collect both sets together.

From a client
Dua e Fatima set up a tourism business with us. Her review on Google mentions the visa alongside the bank and tax work.
"Got my tourism business established in KSA, they managed my after incorporation tasks too. Helped me open my bank account and get my tax registration and also facilitates my VISA. Happy with their services."
Budget
The cost of an investor Iqama depends most on how many dependants come with you, because a monthly levy applies to each one, and then on the visa and work permit for your role. The insurer prices health insurance separately. Under Article 40 of the Labour Law the employer pays the Iqama, work permit and exit and re-entry fees, which for an owner-manager means your Saudi company. We list every charge in your plan next to our fixed fee.
